Waldensermuseum Gottstreu

Wesertal, Hessen

In the former village school of 1826 in the small Weser village of Gottstreu, the museum covers the Waldensians over more than 200 square metres on three levels. It starts with their medieval origins and link to the Reformation. A Waldensian parlour shows mountain farming tools from the Cottian Alps, and another section follows the migration from 1698 to settlement. The close bond between Gottstreu and Gewissenruh is documented too.
