Volkskundemuseum Salzburg

Salzburg, Salzburg

High above the gardens of Hellbrunn, the Monatsschlössl was built in 1615 as a belvedere for Archbishop Markus Sittikus and now houses a museum of Salzburg folk culture. You will find regional costumes, traces of customs, popular piety, home furnishings and folk medicine, along with a range of Perchten masks. A highlight is the Samson figure from Mauterndorf with his two dwarfs.
