Urzeitmuseum Nussdorf-Traisental

Nußdorf ob der Traisen, Niederösterreich

Under the roof of a former castle's cellar building on the market square of Nußdorf ob der Traisen, this museum shows finds from excavations in the lower Traisen valley, mostly from the Bronze Age. The oldest piece is a mammoth tusk 3.3 metres long, the largest yet found in Lower Austria. The building also has a large main cellar with a high barrel vault.
