Turmuhrenmuseum (Naunhof)

Naunhof, Sachsen

This museum in Naunhof's former girls' school, a half-timbered house of 1837, follows the history of timekeeping. It holds tower clocks from four centuries, including restored mechanical movements, a clock and bell-ringing system, and master and slave clocks. The oldest, striking quarters and hours, comes from Colditz Castle and dates from 1606.
