Tucherschloss
Nürnberg, Bayern
This Renaissance town house for the Tucher patrician family stands in the heart of Nuremberg's old town. Built between 1533 and 1544, probably after French models, it has a sandstone façade with a small oriel chapel carrying a relief of the Fall, a courtyard entrance with a Tuscan column, and a ground-floor hall under a late Gothic net vault. The house was badly damaged in 1945 and rebuilt in 1967–69.
