Traditionsbetriebswerk Staßfurt

A roundhouse more than a hundred years old, with a 20-metre turntable, can hold 24 locomotives. The depot opened in 1856, and until 1988 steam locomotives of classes 41 and 50 set out from here on passenger and freight services. Today a railway society presents the site beside the Schönebeck–Güsten line.
