Töpfermuseum Thurnau

Thurnau has a long pottery tradition, and this specialist museum covers it across about 600 square metres. It explains the working methods, vessel shapes and decorating techniques of the town's workshops. You see mostly everyday ware for kitchen, stable and field, such as pots, jugs and bowls, along with special forms like hare-roasting pans and pea strainers. Miniature dishes for doll kitchens are part of the story too.
