Töpfermuseum Stoob

Stoob, Burgenland

Stoob has been a potters' village since the 17th century, thanks to its local clay, and this museum tells the story in the former living quarters of a potter's family on the main street. In the garden stands a kiln built in the ancient manner with a vaulted roof. Look out for the Stoober Plutzer, a cider jug with a fired white spiral pattern that recalls prehistoric pottery.
