Synagoge St. Pölten

St. Pölten, Niederösterreich

Built in 1912–13 in Art Nouveau style to designs by Theodor Schreier and Viktor Postelberg, this synagogue was the main house of worship for St. Pölten's Jewish community until the November pogroms of 1938. Today the building stands as a reminder of the town's Jewish life and also houses the Institute for Jewish History in Austria.
