Sumelocenna-Museum

Rottenburg am Neckar, Baden-Württemberg

This Roman city museum shows everyday life in ancient Sumelocenna, today's Rottenburg. Excavated remains of the Roman town are built into the museum, among them a luxuriously equipped, 32-metre-long Roman latrine. Finds, models, reconstructions and graphics illustrate hygiene, engineering and craftsmanship of the time. A diorama with about 650 tin figures is also worth a look.
