Strigel-Museum
Memmingen, Bayern
For late medieval painting from Upper Swabia, head to the Antonierhaus in Memmingen. The museum is devoted to the Strigel family of artists, centred on Bernhard Strigel (c. 1460–1528), court painter to Emperor Maximilian I, shown as a portrait and altarpiece painter. Highlights include the Adoration of the Magi altarpiece and several loans from the Sparkassenstiftung Memmingen-Mindelheim.
