Schwäbisches Bauernhofmuseum

Illerbeuren, Bayern

Twelve kilometres south of Memmingen in the Iller valley, this open-air museum shows rural life in Swabia. It opened in 1955 as the first of its kind in the south of western Germany. Visitors wander the grounds at Illerbeuren and see how people in the region once lived and worked on their farms.
