Steinzeitdorf Pestenacker

Weil, Bayern

This open-air village lets you get hands-on with the Neolithic. It is modelled on a prehistoric settlement discovered in 1934 and includes a full-size reconstructed house with living quarters and stable, a garden of grains and herbs, Stone Age beehives and a clay oven used for baking bread. In the visitor pavilion, tools, weapons, pottery and basketwork based on Neolithic originals are on show, along with activities to join in.
