Stadtmuseum Einbeck

Einbeck, Niedersachsen

A three-storey timber-framed house from 1548, built by the town's patricians, stands between the Marktkirche St. Jacobi and the Münsterkirche St. Alexandri. Inside, a series of small rooms across three floors tells the story of Einbeck and the history of the bicycle. The carved ornament on the façade and the oriel on the east side are worth a look before you step in, a fine example of Weser Renaissance building.
