Stadtmuseum Abensberg

Abensberg, Bayern

Housed in the historic Herzogskasten on Aventinusplatz, this museum tells the story of the town of Abensberg. Its collection has long roots: it grew from documents and manuscripts of the historian Joseph Rudolph Schuegraf, bought in the 19th century, and from the folklore collection of the writer Franz Xaver Osterrieder. It is a good starting point for anyone curious about the town's past and local heritage.
