Städtisches Schulmuseum Lohr am Main

Slate pencils, inkwells and a teacher's desk set the scene at this school museum in Sendelbach, part of Lohr. More than 3,000 items span some 200 years of school history, and you can step into two fully furnished classrooms and a period teacher's apartment. The museum puts particular weight on schooling under the German Empire and in the Third Reich, showing how lessons were used to pass on social order and political ideas.
