A disused transformer tower in Lohr am Main holds more than 600 insulators from over 40 countries. The display shows their sizes, designs and development, from tiny ones for telecom lines to a chain over three metres long from a 380 kV power line. Many pieces still show maker's marks and year of manufacture. It opens by appointment.
