Städtisches Museum Saarlouis

Saarlouis, Rheinland-Pfalz

The building is itself the largest exhibit: the neoclassical Barracks VI, built by the Prussian military administration between 1866 and 1869, has housed the museum since 1927. Across 1,300 square metres it presents cultural and historical displays on the town and its region. A focus is the creation and growth of the fortress town of Louis XIV. The building is not wheelchair accessible.
