Art from Saarland, from across Germany and from abroad is shown at this gallery in Saarlouis, housed in the former Barracks VI. Visitors find major works from the collection of Irene and Peter Ludwig, shows by regional artists, and joint projects with other museums and private collectors. It began in 1989 in a former bank building, at first devoted to art from East Germany, a legacy of the town's twinning with Eisenhüttenstadt.
