Städtisches Museum Rosenheim

Rosenheim, Bayern

Housed in the Mittertor, the last surviving town gate of Rosenheim, this museum tells the story of the town from Roman graves to the kidney-shaped coffee tables of the 1950s. Displays cover crafts, trade, transport and home life, and there is a Roman collection. A town history section fills nine rooms in the neighbouring Gietlhaus. About 5,000 of the more than 20,000 items in the collection are on show.
