Holztechnisches Museum

Rosenheim, Bayern

This museum is devoted to wood as a material: how it is harvested, worked and turned into products. It occupies the Ellmaierhaus on Max-Josefs-Platz, a 16th-century building in the Inn-Salzach style with the year 1568 carved above the portal. The exhibition rooms on the first floor are reached by the old stair known as the Himmelsleiter.
