Stadt- und Dampfmaschinenmuseum Werdau

Werdau, Sachsen

A city model shows Werdau in 1628, with its town hall, castle and Marienkirche, while other displays and models trace local and industrial history. A permanent exhibition is devoted to Fraureuth porcelain, one of the largest collections in Germany. The original engine house holds a working 600 hp steam engine, and a miniature railway runs in the garden from May to October. The 1781 building also houses the town library.
