Robert-Schumann-Haus Zwickau

Zwickau, Sachsen

On the main market square stands the reconstructed and extended birthplace of composer Robert Schumann, born here in 1810. The museum holds a large Schumann collection, including 19th-century pianos such as the grand on which the young Clara Wieck made her debut. The permanent exhibition fills eight rooms, and a 140-seat concert hall is part of the house.
