The New Palace is the central building of the vast Schleißheim complex, summer residence of Bavaria's electors and kings until 1918. The state gallery is housed here, set within a Baroque ensemble of three palaces, a park and canals stretching over a kilometer. A visit combines art with a walk through the gardens.
