Skansen w Wolinie

Wolin, zachodniopomorskie

On the island of Wolińska Kępa, right by the town of Wolin, stands a reconstructed settlement from the early Middle Ages. Timber huts modelled on the old town's buildings sit behind earthen ramparts and a stretch of palisade with a gate and watchtower. Demonstrations of old crafts and staged medieval fights are held here at times, and the Festival of Slavs and Vikings takes place on the grounds every year. The open-air museum opened in 2008.
