Muzeum Obrony Wybrzeża w Świnoujściu

Świnoujście, zachodniopomorskie

The museum sits inside Fort Gerhard, a Prussian coastal fort built in 1848–1859 and counted among the best preserved of its kind in Europe. More than 3,000 exhibits trace the development of coastal defence, especially coastal fortifications. The fort was designed to guard the port against enemy fleets, so the site itself is part of the visit.
