Schloss Wolkenstein

The castle sits high above the Zschopau on a rocky spur in a bend of the river. First mentioned in the 13th century, it once guarded a trade route to Bohemia. Since 1963 it has housed a museum, so visitors can explore the medieval fortress itself.
