Schloss Reinbek

Reinbek, Schleswig-Holstein

This Renaissance castle in Reinbek was built in the 16th century as a secondary residence of the dukes of Schleswig-Holstein-Gottorf, on the site of a former Cistercian convent. It is regarded as among the best examples of Renaissance architecture in the region and was restored between 1977 and 1987. Today it serves as the town's art and cultural centre.
