Schloss Rastatt

Rastatt, Baden-Württemberg

This three-wing Baroque palace was built from 1697 as the residence of the Margraves of Baden-Baden, to designs by Domenico Egidio Rossi. Visitors can walk through the restored Baroque interiors, including the grand staircases, the Hall of Ancestors and the palace church, and stroll the gardens. Modelled on Versailles, it is the oldest Baroque residence in the German Upper Rhine region.
