Schillerhaus
Grabfeld, Thüringen
Friedrich Schiller took refuge in this house in Bauerbach for half a year in 1782–83, after fleeing Stuttgart. A literary museum now recalls his stay, during which he worked on Kabale und Liebe and Don Karlos. His study and bedroom have been kept as a memorial since the 19th century.
