Rosgartenmuseum Konstanz

Konstanz, Baden-Württemberg

Behind a portal bearing the coats of arms of two medieval houses, this museum presents the art, culture and history of Konstanz and the Lake Constance region. The house Zum Rosgarten was once the guildhall of butchers, grocers, apothecaries, potters and ropemakers, first mentioned in 1324. The collection grew from the holdings of founder Ludwig Leiner and other private collectors. The museum dates from 1870.
