Richard-Wagner-Stätten Graupa

Pirna, Sachsen

Richard Wagner spent a few summer weeks in Graupa in 1846 and sketched major parts of Lohengrin here. The Lohengrinhaus, a former farmhouse, has reconstructed rooms where he lived and an exhibition on the making of the opera. The hunting lodge hosts an exhibition on Wagner in Saxony, and a cultural trail runs through the castle park.
