Rezerwat Archeologiczny Genius Loci

Poznań, wielkopolskie

Beneath a modern pavilion on Ostrów Tumski lies an archaeological excavation with remains of the stronghold from the earliest days of the Polish state. The visit begins with a film on the origins of Poznań, then crosses a glass floor above the foundations of Bishop Lubrański's wall, and ends in a main hall with relics of the stronghold's rampart preserved where they were found. Multimedia stations and holograms show how the island was built up in the 10th century.
