Priesterkate Büchen
Büchen, Schleswig-Holstein
Locals call this old parsonage in Büchen-Dorf the Priesterkate. Finished in 1649, it is regarded as the oldest dated, listed farm building in the Herzogtum Lauenburg district. A permanent exhibition follows the history of the inner-German border up to today, and another room tells of the Delvenau-Stecknitz Canal, the "wet salt road" from Lauenburg to Lübeck. The historic hall also hosts concerts, theatre and exhibitions.
