Podlaskie Muzeum Kultury Ludowej

Wasilków, podlaskie

An open-air museum on the northern edge of Białystok, just off the road to Augustów, spread over nearly thirty hectares. Wooden buildings from the Białystok, Łomża and Suwałki areas have been brought here, along with ethnographic collections. The buildings are grouped to recreate the old village layouts of north-eastern Poland, including row and street villages, a petty-gentry hamlet, a colonist settlement, and manor and forest complexes. You see whole rural landscapes of the region rather than just single cottages.
