Phono- und Radiomuseum

Dormagen, Nordrhein-Westfalen

About 400 phonographs, gramophones and record players, from Edison's first machine to the 1990s, stand here alongside some 30,000 shellac records. A second collection brings around 4,000 radios, tape recorders and televisions, including American and English radios of the 1920s and the first television built after the Second World War as reparations for the Soviet Union. An archive holds technical books and manuals, and Chris Howland's one-man recording studio from 1986 is on show too.
