Bread, across thousands of years, is the subject here. The Wunderkammer of Bread shows about 1,200 exhibits on nearly 1,000 square metres, including Egyptian grain mummies, Chinese granaries made as grave goods, guild equipment, Meissen porcelain and a miniature by Jan Brueghel the Younger. The library holds over 5,000 books. The building, designed by Wolf D. Prix, is shaped to recall a loaf of bread.
