Pamětní síň Alice Garrigue Masarykové a Českého červeného kříže

Lány, Středočeský kraj

Alice Masaryk had this house in Lány built at her own expense in 1928 and gave it to the local Red Cross as a advice centre for mothers and children, a role it kept until 1991. It now holds a memorial room to the first president's daughter, who founded the Czechoslovak Red Cross and led it from 1919 to 1938. Opened in 2002, it shows three rooms to visitors, including a reconstructed room from Alice Masaryk's own flat. A visit tells the story of her life and her work for the Red Cross.
