Obstbaumuseum Glems
Metzingen, Baden-Württemberg
The old wine press house in Glems, built from oak felled in 1516, now tells the story of orchard meadows and the fruit grown on them. The exhibition follows every step from planting to processing and shows pressing, distilling, preserving, drying and jam-making. Visitors can try their hand at the press to make apple or pear juice. Local products can be tasted in the museum's tavern and bought in its small shop, and a pear trail leads out into the meadows.
