Naturkundemuseum Reutlingen

Reutlingen, Baden-Württemberg

Housed in the Old Lyceum, a half-timbered school building from 1728 next to the Marienkirche, this natural history museum shows minerals on the ground floor and Posidonia shale fossils on the first. Highlights are the five-metre Reutlingen sea crocodile, found at Ohmenhausen, and a cave bear skeleton. The second floor is devoted to local animals and plants.
