Oberpfälzisches Handwerksmuseum mit wiederaufgebautem Seebarn-Hammer

Rötz, Bayern

Beside the Eixendorfer See in the Schwarzach valley, this open-air museum shows how craftsmen worked and lived around 1900. Demonstration workshops in several buildings present 20 trades from the years when hand work gave way to mechanisation and industry. You will also find a steam sawmill, the water-driven Saxlmühle and the Seebarnhammer, a rebuilt hammer forge. A 1934 steam locomotive stands under a shelter on the grounds.
