Nordpfälzer Heimatmuseum

The ground floor of this local history museum is about the land around the Donnersberg, while upstairs Rockenhausen is shown as a town changing through the ages. The story runs from prehistory through Celtic and Roman settlement, castles, monasteries and mining to the former district of Rockenhausen, with old crafts, farming and beekeeping along the way. The 1926 building was thoroughly renovated up to 2023 and now offers 450 square metres of exhibition space on two floors, plus a front garden laid out in 1930.
