Niedersächsisches Museum für Kali- und Salzbergbau

Ronnenberg, Niedersachsen

Seven rooms covering about 300 square metres explain potash mining in Empelde and the Benthe salt dome, how salt deposits formed, and how salt is extracted and processed. There is also a mineral collection. A rebuilt drivage and a blind shaft let visitors try things hands-on. Outside, information boards stand between the old works building and the former administration building of the potash mine.
