Heimatmuseum Ahlem

In the former town hall of Ahlem, independent until 1974, this small museum tells the story of the village and its region. Displays include fossils, finds from the Migration Period, everyday objects and the history of the asphalt pits that shaped the village. Rooms are furnished as a farmhouse kitchen, a late 19th-century parlour and a 1920s workers' living kitchen. Another theme is the former Hanover power station.
