Naturkundliches Museum (Schweinfurt)

Right on the Main embankment, where the Maxbrücke meets the old town, this natural history museum fills the neoclassical Harmonie building of 1833. On the first floor you find the Schuler bird collection, which began when a merchant working on Réunion and Madagascar sent bird skins home to his brothers to be mounted. It passed to the city in 1892. The museum sits in a small museum quarter alongside the Museum Georg Schäfer and the Kleines Industriemuseum.
