Modern and contemporary art is shown here in an unusual building: the former Ernst-Sachs-Bad, a swimming hall in the New Objectivity style designed by Roderich Fick. Its arrangement of wings recalls a monastery with a cloister. It stands in the green ring of parks between the old town and the Ludwigsvorstadt, right beside the surviving town wall.
