Narrenturm
Wien, Wien
The Narrenturm is a round, five-storey building from 1783–84, built under Emperor Joseph II as a psychiatric hospital and used as one until 1869. Today it houses the pathological-anatomical collection of the Natural History Museum. The unusual building, nicknamed Emperor Joseph's Gugelhupf by Viennese, is worth seeing in itself.
