Muzeum Ziemi Piskiej w Piszu

Pisz, warmińsko-mazurskie

Tucked into the ground floor of Pisz's town hall, built in 1901, this regional museum tells the story of the town and its Masurian surroundings. One display covers local wildlife, plants and fossils, including the horns of an aurochs. The history section brings together archaeological finds, the oldest dating to the 10th century BC, along with early printed books, documents (some from Masurian Old Believers), weapons, coins, furniture and old photographs of the town.
