Muzeum Wału Pomorskiego

Wałcz, zachodniopomorskie

Set in a former barracks beside national road 22, where it enters Wałcz from the Człuchów side, this museum is packed with uniforms and weapons from the Second World War. It has four parts: the building of the Pomeranian Wall and the German army of 1934–1945, the Red Army in 1945, the Polish 1st Army, and the story of prisoner-of-war camps in the Wałcz area. Look for motorcycles, MG 08 and MG 42 machine guns, a German chainsaw from 1943 and Soviet propaganda slogans painted on walls. The display keeps growing, with more than 40 pieces waiting in storage.
