Muzeum w Nysie

Nysa, opolskie

The museum occupies the Bishops' Palace in Nysa. The town's first museum was founded in 1897, and its prewar collection numbered about 33,000 items. A fire in March 1945 destroyed what remained in the building, and after the war the collection was rebuilt, with pieces brought back from Czechoslovakia and added to with monuments from Nysa itself.
